| Can-do spirit wins Kian Joo award for innovation |

KUALA LUMPUR: Kian Joo Packaging Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Kian Joo Can Factory Bhd (KJCF), has won the "Best Can or Alubottle Category" award at the Beverage Innovation Awards 2009 held recently in Munich, Germany.
This was the first time a Malaysian company has received such a prestigious award, KJCF said in a statement today.
"The award was given in relation to the new innovation that KJCF had developed and used," the group said.
"We use a smaller diameter end on a normal diameter can which resulted in savings in raw materials and is cost-saving to customers," it said.
The innovation awards attracted more than 340 participants from 40 countries.
